Finance Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 537196) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should have a good bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years’ full-time work experience, preferably in a tertiary education institution. They should have a strong sense of responsibility and urgency; self-motivation; outstanding organisational, communication, project management and problem-solving skills; IT proficiency; and have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua). They should be good team players with proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and be attentive to details. The successful candidate should be capable of managing tight deadlines, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
The appointee is responsible for overseeing a wide range of financial matters for the Faculty including Undergraduate and Taught Postgraduate programmes, Academic Areas, and Research Institutes, with duties include, but not limited to, (a) budget control, invoice and procurement approval, reimbursement claims etc; (b) regular and ad-hoc financial reports; (c) financial forecasts and projections; and (d) resource planning and management; and (e) any other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
