Executive Officer in the Centre for Advanced Semiconductors and Integrated Circuits (Ref.: 537189)
We are looking for a high-caliber Executive Officer to join the newly established Center for Advanced Semiconductors and Integrated Circuits (CASIC). The appointee will oversee education programs, outreach initiatives, and industry collaborations with the Center.
The Role
Reporting to the Director of the Center, the appointee will be responsible for research grant administration, including assisting with proposal vetting and post-award management. He/She will maintain the database of research grant and award records, compile reports, liaise with external stakeholders, manage education programs, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Qualities
• A good bachelor’s degree and preferably a master’s degree;
• Not less than 2 years’ working experience in research administration or related field, overseas study or work experience is an advantage;
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
• Professional skills and attributes to perform specialized duties such as IT proficiency in MS Office and database management;
• Meticulous attention to detail and good analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to multitask and work independently without close supervision;
• Good organizational skills, strong sense of ownership and the ability to work under pressure;
• Strong interpersonal skills and a self-starter with a proactive attitude;
• A good team player who can collaborate with different external stakeholders of the University.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on a fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
