Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant I) in the School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 537082) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should possess a good university degree, preferably a Master’s degree, with at least 10 years’ work experience in the higher education sector or a related field. They should be excellent communicators with an exceptional command of English and Chinese; possess a strong sense of responsibility and strategic awareness; capable of working proficiently with significant independence; and be able to keep their subordinates motivated to deliver quality work under tight deadlines. They are also expected to possess a high level of decision-making, organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills, as well as an appropriate level of IT knowledge. Experience in undergraduate programme management and/or assessment-related duties in professional programmes would be an advantage.
The appointee will play a versatile role in leading junior administrative, executive and clerical staff in supporting a range of tasks, primarily on assessment of undergraduate students pursuing a professional degree programme. He/she will be responsible for developing assessment policies and procedures with reference to the latest curricular reforms, overseeing the preparation for and conducting of examinations in various formats, as well as the release of results and associated follow-up tasks. Other duties may include implementing new teaching and learning initiatives for enhancing the all-rounded development of our students. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and/or written test.
