Applications are invited for appointment as Part-time Teaching Assistant under the School of Future Media (Ref.: 537078) to commence on September 1, 2026 for 4 months, with possibility of renewal based on satisfactory performance and funding availability.

The School of Future Media is seeking a professional to support an undergraduate course JMSC2002 Video Production and University-wide campus weather forecast production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Course administration and management: Assist instructor during class, including, but not limited to, taking attendance, helping with equipment distribution and packing up, preparing and setting up equipment before class
  • Troubleshooting and support: Offer on-the-spot basic technical troubleshooting for camera, audio, and project file setup during lab exercises
  • Gear and media maintenance: Assist with battery charging, formatting media storage, and verifying equipment condition before and after class

 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in journalism and/or media studies
  • Basic video filming skills using DSLR, and using audio and lighting equipment
  • Strong command of spoken English
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and/or knowing other editing software and other software within the Adobe Creative Cloud is advantageous

 Working Hours and Compensation

  • The position requires 5 hours per week, classes are held on Wednesday mornings in Fall 2026.
  • Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, calculated on an hourly basis.
