Administrative Assistant II (holding the functional title of Senior Programme Manager) at the Hong Kong Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences (Ref.: 537001) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance) 

 

Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree with at least 3-5 years’ relevant higher education experience in a responsible position involving staff supervision.  Prior experience in taught postgraduate programme administration and event management is required.  They should be good team leaders and self-starters who are attentive to details, with a positive attitude and the ability to multitask and drive project execution.  A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) is required.

 

The appointee will provide support to the Institute in two areas:

  • Firstly, he/she will manage the administration team for the Master of Family Wealth Management programme with the aim to deliver a wide range of student services, including but not limited to programme promotion, recruitment and student admissions, processing applications and admissions offers, programme operations, academic coordination, and interaction with faculty members, prospective candidates, students and other stakeholders.  He/She will also manage special initiatives pertaining to the TPg programme, such as student retreats, events with industry partners and alumni gatherings.
  • Secondly, he/she will act as project manager for some of the Institute’s events relating to the research clusters, working with the Institute’s general office staff to execute the events effectively.

 

This role reports jointly to the MFWM Programme Director and the Head of Operations for IHSS.
