Exercise and Wellness Trainer (at the rank of Senior Technical Assistant) in the Centre for Sports and Exercise (Ref.: 536945) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a recognized degree, preferably in Sports Science, Exercise Science or equivalent, with at least 2 years’ relevant work experience in exercise prescription and testing. They should have an excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese. They should also demonstrate good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; proficiency in IT; the ability to interact positively and professionally with users; and the capability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team. Possession of a valid certifications and qualifications in fitness training (e.g NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, ASCA Strength & Conditioning Coach (Level 2), ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist) will be considered an advantage.
The appointee will provide health and fitness services for programs and projects conducted at the Active Health Clinic; deliver evidence-based, quality training advice; develop tailored fitness programs for diverse populations; conduct health and fitness assessments in both on-site and clinical settings; assist in fitness and wellness projects; prepare presentations, reports and educational materials; and undertake other duties as assigned. Working on shift duties will be required.
