Research Assistant I in the Department of Microbiology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 536936) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Biological/Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology or a related discipline. They should also have good communication skills in Cantonese, English and Mandarin. Experience in molecular diagnostics and Next Generation Sequencing library preparation would be advantageous. The appointee has to be able to troubleshoot problems found in molecular assays and NGS library preparation. The appointee will work on research projects related to viral/bacterial/fungi diagnostics and emerging infectious diseases under the supervision of Dr. Rosana Poon and Dr. Anson Lee Chung Ho.
