Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Neurology of the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine  (Ref.: 536929)

We now invite applications for the captioned post. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The appointee will assist in research projects with major focus on autoimmune neurological disorders, cognitive disorders and dementia including clinical trials involving multiple hospitals in Hong Kong, under the supervision of Prof. K.H. Chan
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A B.Sc. degree or an M.Phil. degree in Biological/Medical Sciences or equivalent
  • Experience in immunological, molecular and cell biology techniques such as indirect immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, real-time PCR, Western blot, maintenance of cell lines and transfection, DNA sequencing and laboratory animal (rodents) handing
  • Proven knowledge and competence in Neuroscience and Immunology would be an advantage
  • Appointees with an interest in pursuing further M.Phil. or Ph.D. studies are preferred

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
