Programme Officer (at the rank of Technical Officer) in the Department of Pathology, School of Clinical Medicine and State Key Laboratory of Liver Research (Ref: 536787) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have a recognized Bachelor’s degree or above, with at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in event management and/or research administration. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; and IT proficiency (e.g. MS Office). They should be responsible, organized, attentive to details, self-motivated, and able to multi-task independently. Experience in organizing symposia and handling research funding and reports is preferred.

The appointee will provide clerical, administrative, and logistical support for the unit, with a primary focus on event organization and research administrative work. Major duties include:

  • Planning and coordinating visits, seminars, symposia, and other activities
  • Managing event logistics, including venue booking, invitations, registration, hospitality, on-site support, and post-event follow-up
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, sponsors, speakers, and vendors
  • Compiling data and preparing various reports
  • Supporting the administration and monitoring of research funding schemes
  • Performing other duties as assigned

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
