Administrative Assistant II in Careers and Employability of Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) (Ref.: 536783) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefit scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary).

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic team leader to drive key initiatives in student career training and development, career coaching, and impactful career programmes and strategic projects. This role is ideal for a proactive and innovative professional who is passionate about enhancing student employability, building meaningful partnerships, and developing career development strategies that address emerging industry trends and demands.

The appointee will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Lead a team in the planning and implementation of career initiatives that enhance student career readiness.
  • Oversee the end-to-end design, delivery, and evaluation of career training programmes, working closely with faculties, employers, alumni, and external partners to develop tailored learning opportunities for diverse student cohorts, including non-local students, taught postgraduate students, and students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Ensure the provision of high-quality, up-to-date, and industry-relevant career guidance, resources, and support services that equip students to navigate an evolving job market.
  • Identify and implement innovative practices, AI technologies, and partnerships that enhance the effectiveness and impact of career development programmes and services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including employers, students, alumni, faculties, career coaches, trainers, and programme partners, to strengthen career development initiatives and student employment outcomes.

Applicants should possess:

  • A recognised University degree with at least eight years of relevant work experience in career services, student development, training and development, employer relations, talent acquisition, or talent development within tertiary institutions or large corporations.
  • Proven experience in learning and development will be an advantage.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with excellent organisational, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound understanding of graduate employment market trends, recruitment practices, and emerging industry developments, both locally and globally.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and experience with website management and social media marketing.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test and interview.
