Manager, Development and Alumni (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the faculty of Business and Economics (Ref. 536667) (To commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed- term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
 
The Faculty of Business and Economics’s Development and Alumni Team is seeking an experienced and committed professional to support the planning and delivery of a wide range of alumni engagement and development initiatives.
 
Applicants should:
 
• hold a recognised degree in a relevant discipline;
 
• have at least 6 years of relevant experience in areas such as event management, relationship/membership management, marketing, communications and/or related fields, preferably in an educational or non-profit environment;
 
• be proficient in IT applications including CMS, database management, marketing platforms, Canva, and MS Office;
 
• demonstrate strong project management, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities;
 
• be able to work independently as well as a good team player;
 
• be proactive and creative, highly efficient, and able to manage multiple stakeholder groups; and
 
• have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
 
Roles and responsibilities include but not limited to: 
 
• play a key role in planning and implementing the Faculty’s alumni engagement strategies and initiatives, such as Alumni Forum, Homecoming, Alumni Giving campaigns, thematic events, and reunion series;
 
• manage a portfolio of local and international alumni chapters, and provide developmental support to these chapters;
 
• build and network with internal and external stakeholders and key audiences to advance alumni relations and engagement objectives;
 
• manage event timelines, logistics and budgets to ensure successful delivery, and liaise with internal and external parties to ensure smooth implementation of programmes and projects;
 
• prepare promotional and communication materials, and maintain and update websites and social media platforms;
 
• provide secretariat support to alumni chapters and/or professors, including scheduling, documentation, reports, meeting minutes, and follow-up actions;
 
• perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Development and Alumni Team or her delegates; and
 
• he/she may be required to work outside normal office hours and during weekends, as well as travel outside Hong Kong occasionally.
 
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
 
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
