Applications are invited for appointment as Administration Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant I/II) in the Centre for Applied English Studies (Ref.: 536621), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis. For Administrative Assistant II, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree, preferably also a higher degree. They should have at least 8 years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role. An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, good organization and interpersonal skills, and good digital literacy are essential. They should be attentive to details, self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and have the ability to multi-task and work independently to meet strict deadlines. Those with less experience may be considered for the post of Administrative Assistant II.
The appointee will be responsible for leading and providing a full spectrum of administrative support to the Centre for Applied English Studies (CAES) and Centre Director. He/She will play a versatile role in managing the CAES administration team to support a wide range of functions related to programme administration, support services to undergraduate and postgraduate students, human resources and budget management, committee work, and daily operations. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and interview.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of the basic salary for Administrative Assistant I, or up to 10% of the basic salary for Administrative Assistant II.
