Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I/II) in the School of Humanities (History) (Ref.: 536563) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the higher education sector or a related field. They should have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, and be proficient in computer literacy. They should be collegial, meticulous, independent, and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility. Proven experience in managing competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines is essential. Candidates with less experience will be considered for appointment as Clerk II (with the functional title of Executive Assistant).
The appointee will provide administrative support for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the Department of History, including programme administration, course enrolment, assessment coordination, syllabus updates and handling student matters. The role also involves coordinating the organization of events and knowledge exchange/outreach activities, and providing general office support, including financial administration and maintenance of departmental webpage. Other duties as assigned may also be required. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
