Applications are invited for the position of Teaching Assistant in the School of Future Media (Ref.: 536497) to commence on August 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

The appointee will support the delivery of generative AI courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in particular the Master of Arts in Creative Artificial Intelligence Film and Media programme. In addition to teaching, the appointee will contribute to class coordination, student advising, curriculum development, and enrichment events, which may be required to work overtime as and when necessary.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in communication, media production, computer science or related fields, with at least 3 years of experience of proven professional and practical experience in media production or content creator.

Candidates should demonstrate strong technical proficiency with generative AI tools, such as Midjourney, Nanobanana, VEO, Kling, Seedance, ElevenLabs, Suno, or similar platforms. Experience with ComfyUI configuration, workflow automation, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted content creation is highly desirable. Prior experience in tertiary-level teaching and professional media production will be a distinct advantage. Applicants who have responded to the job ad 536152 need not to re-apply.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
