Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in the Faculty of Engineering (Ref.: 536387) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant work experience, including proven supervisory experience, preferably within tertiary institutions. Fluency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua) is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate good written and oral communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities. The capacity to manage multiple tasks independently, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders is essential.

The appointee will lead and provide a full spectrum of administrative support in research postgraduate programmes. He/She will play a versatile role in managing a team to support a wide range of functions related to programme administration, budget management, student support and enrichment activities, team supervision, committee work, and daily operation of and the Research Student Centre. He/She will also drive initiatives to enhance research postgraduate programmes and student development, and perform any other duties as assigned.

The appointee may be required to work outside office hours and on weekends. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
