Information Technology Services (ITS) provides central IT services to support the University’s teaching, learning, research and administrative activities. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Audio-Visual (AV)/IT professional to join our team in managing operations and maintaining learning spaces within our University. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects that leverage their expertise in collaborating on AV/IT systems.
The Role
The appointee will primarily be responsible for AV/IT equipment management, learning space management, event support and collaboration on IT application systems (e.g. IoT, RFID, location-based services), and will perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Qualities
Applicants should possess (1) a Bachelor’s degree or a diploma in Audio-Visual (AV) or Information Technology (IT) related discipline, (2) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, (3) good communication, customer service, analytical and problem-solving skills, (4) self-motivation and the ability to work well as part of a team, as well as (5) good knowledge of and some relevant experience in the following areas:
- equipment (AV/IT) management (setup, configuration and documentation)
- event venue support, including AV/IT equipment setup
- learning space operation management and maintenance
- learning tools/technologies evaluation
Those with certification in ITIL, CTS, PRINCE2, and relevant experience in event management as well as the operation of projection system and audio system are preferred.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, and commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
