Assistant Project Manager / Assistant Project Officer (at the rank of Research Assistant I/II) (several posts) in the Faculty of Arts (Ref: 536215) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager/Assistant Project Officer to support the Faith and Global Engagement Initiative.

Faith and Global Engagement (FGE) is an initiative at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) which seeks to demonstrate the positive impacts and overall importance of faith in society, both locally and globally. While the FGE represents the Christian tradition in dialogue with the contemporary world, it also aids understanding of religion and spirituality in general, as the pluralistic setting of Hong Kong hosts the largely secular microcosm of HKU.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a recognised degree.

Key Responsibilities

The appointees will help with this overarching mission in three of the main areas of FGE’s work:

  • Outwardly, FGE hosts and facilitates speakers and lecturers that enrich both the HKU and the Hong Kong community.
  • Inwardly, FGE runs courses such as Life Worth Living and Lead For Life, to enable HKU undergraduate students to address questions of meaning, purpose and character in a faith- informed way.
  • Horizontally, FGE helps to facilitate Christian dialogue on campus, among faculty and staff.

The appointees will serve in multi-faced ways and assist in the above areas as needs and opportunities arise.

What We offer

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointments on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.

How to Apply

The University only accepts online application for the above posts.  Applicants should apply online and upload an up-to-date C.V.  Review of applications will continue until June 5, 2026, or until the posts are filled, whichever is earlier.
