Accounting Executive, Finance Operations Team in the Finance and Enterprises Office (Ref.: 536210)
The Role
The appointee will assist in the following areas:
- verifying and reconciling invoices;
- processing payment vouchers and purchase orders in the system;
- handling payment processing and managing the payment cycles;
- updating and maintaining accurate fixed assets records in the system;
- conducting physical fixed assets counts and audits to ensure the accuracy of fixed asset record;
- responding to enquiries related to finance operations;
- preparing journal entries in relation to accounts payables and fixed assets; and
- any other duties related to finance operations as required.
Qualifications and Qualities
- preferably at least 1 year’s work experience in accounting, auditing, and/or banking;
- minimum Level 2 in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; OR 5 passes in HKCEE including English (minimum Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics;
- preferably possessing an accounting related Diploma or above qualification;
- self-motivated attitude with a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
- good knowledge of PC and software applications such as MS Word, Excel and Chinese input.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary.
