Research Officer in the Division of Haematology, Medical Oncology and HSCT of the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 535063)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the research and development of advanced molecular techniques
  • Maintain quality assurance and smooth running of a research laboratory
  • Supervise and mentor junior research staff and post-graduate students
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. degree in the field of Haematology, Oncology, or a related discipline, with experience in genomics data, bioinformatics, next-generation sequencing, nanopore sequencing, single-cell sequencing, and droplet-digital PCR
  • Demonstrate a strong passion for scientific and clinical research, with knowledge of research-related computer softwares
  • A good command of English
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, self-initiative, and the ability to work independently
  • Knowledge on multi-omics technology platforms will be highly preferred

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on 1-year temporary basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
