Clerk II (holding the functional title of Clinical Secretariat Assistant) in the Department of Ophthalmology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 535042) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have a Diploma/Associate Degree or above with at least one year’s relevant work experience.  They should have good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including fluent Cantonese), the ability to work independently and in a team, and good communication and interpersonal skills.  They should be organised, highly motivated, responsible, resourceful, attentive to details, and able to multi-task.  The appointee will primarily work at the HKU Eye Centre, providing clinical and clerical support for daily services.  He/She will also prepare reports, handle general enquiries and perform other duties as assigned.  Occasional overtime work may be required.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
