Assistant Manager (Student Affairs) (at the rank of Executive Officer) LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 534954) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary term basis)

Applicants should possess:

  • a recognized university degree and have at least 5 years of relevant work experience in the education or social services sectors, preferably in student affairs, programme and event management, or communications;
  • maturity, persuasiveness, a personable nature, and passion for working with university students and supporting their development;
  • strong communication skills, along with an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • sound knowledge of event management; and
  • the ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Prior experience in student engagement, either as a staff member or a student leader, would be an advantage.

The appointee will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Support the planning and implementation of student engagement strategies in collaboration with internal departments and external partners, aligned with the Faculty’s strategic priorities;
  • Coordinate and assist in the organisation of student events, workshops, and developmental programmes for undergraduate students;
  • Manage communication with students through various platforms to share information and promote initiatives;
  • Provide guidance to students on available resources, opportunities, and services within the Faculty and the University community;
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive student environment that promotes student well-being, sense of belonging, and personal growth;
  • Track and review the effectiveness of engagement activities, and assist in preparing related reports and proposals;
  • Supervise student helpers or interns involved in programmes and activities; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Faculty’s mission, values, and operational goals.
