The School of Clinical Medicine at the LKS Faculty of Medicine (HKUMed) supports its departments and units in advancing teaching and learning, research and clinical service across a diverse range of clinical specialties. The Role
We are seeking a proactive and self‑motivated professional to lead the School’s Communications and Engagement portfolio. The appointee will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing and communication campaigns to enhance the School’s visibility, reputation, and impact; planning and delivering knowledge exchange and engagement activities such as public lectures, conferences, and community events; coordinating promotional and engagement initiatives for taught postgraduate programmes; managing content creation and ensuring effective deployment across digital and physical communication channels/platforms. He/she will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, monitor analytics and performance to inform continuous improvement, and explore and adopt emerging technologies to enhance communications effectiveness and operational efficiency. The appointee may also provide cross‑portfolio support within the team and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Qualities
- A recognized university degree with at least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in academic or healthcare settings;
- A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with proven ability to produce clear, audience-appropriate and purpose-driven communications;
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with proven experience of managing multiple, fast-moving projects and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders in a complex environment;
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgement, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team;
- Proficiency in IT and digital tools relevant to communications and engagement, such as website content management systems, major social media platforms, and digital content creation tools;
- A strong interest in staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies, including the practical application of AI tools, analytics, and SEO/GEO best practices to improve outreach effectiveness and operational efficiency.
