Clerk I/II (holding the functional title of Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant) in the Faculty of Law (several posts) (Ref.: 534903) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree, with at least 2 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in tertiary institutions or the education sector. Non-degree holders with substantial relevant experience will also be considered. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently are essential. Candidates should be self-motivated, able to work both independently and as a good team player, and able to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese is required. Knowledge of Putonghua would be an advantage. Proficiency in IT applications, including MS Word and MS Excel, is essential. Those with less experience and/or lower qualifications may be considered for appointment as Clerk II.
The appointees will provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Faculty Office. Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may focus on undergraduate, postgraduate, or research programme matters. Duties may include handling admissions, programme and course administration, grants administration, examinations, student matters, data management, research administration and review/audit exercises, coordinating events and activities, and performing other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
