Executive Officer (holding the functional title of Manager) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 534823) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
 
Applicants should possess a good bachelor’s degree, with at least 8 years of full-time work experience, and substantial years working in the commercial sector. Experience in working at a university or tertiary instruction setting is highly desirable. Experience in the field of project management, client-servicing, UX/UI development and event management would be preferred.
 
Applicants should be able to show a sense of curiosity as well as an experience in working with people of different cultures. Knowledge of world happenings with a global perspective is crucial. An excellent command of written and spoken English; Chinese literacy with both spoken Cantonese and Putonghua are a must, exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills are expected. Applicants are expected to deliver high quality output in a fast-changing environment under tight deadlines and be ready to adjust his/her portfolio based on new development needs. Commitment to understand, and be observant of the needs of different stakeholders, administrative process, a strong track record in delivering creative ideas with good problem-solving ability, a high level of computer literacy and knowledge of web portal design and different video production tools are essential.
 
The appointee will assist in the operation of the Faculty’s undergraduate career-related initiatives. He/She is expected to work impeccably with the team, students and different stakeholders, to provide support in relation to the delivery of a high volume of placement and training initiatives, to engage with students on a daily basis and provide advising service as per needed, and perform ad-hoc duties as assigned. Occasional travelling out of Hong Kong and work outside the normal office hours are required. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
 
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
