Associate Director (at the rank of Assistant Registrar) in the Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) (Ref: 534770) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or equivalent areas and with at least 8 years of relevant administrative and managerial experience in the tertiary education and/or public/quasi-public organisations.  They should have proven track record of leadership, ability to delegate effectively and discharge duties to staff and be able to work independently.   An excellent command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua), a high level of communication, outstanding analytical and organisational skills, and good computer literacy are essential. 

The appointee is expected to provide strategic leadership and overall management of the Counselling and Person Enrichment Section of CEDARS.  The role entails setting the Section’s strategic direction, overseeing policy and service development, ensuring the effective, high-quality delivery of evidence-based services to the diverse student population.  The appointee will also drive new initiatives, foster internal and external collaboration, optimise resources and workflows, and handle crisis management in close partnership with counselling professionals within the Section.  He/she will perform any other duties as assigned in support of the University’s student development and well-being priorities.
