Administrative Assistant II (to be seconded to GBAICTI as its Manager (Communication)) (Ref.: 534733) 

The Greater Bay Area International Clinical Trial Institute (GBAICTI) is a wholly-owned entity of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, serving as a centralized clinical research facilitation platform with the mission of creating and sustaining a thriving clinical research ecosystem and driving development in Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area (GBA).

In November 2024, the University of Hong Kong Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine (HKUMed) was appointed as the operator of GBAICTI. In December 2025, the Real-World Study and Application Centre (RWSAC) was established under GBAICTI to open up local health and medical databases and promote collaboration between Hong Kong and other GBA cities.

We are now seeking a high-calibre professional to join the RWSAC (located at Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone) as Manager (Communication).


Main Responsibilities:

  • Report to Director (RWSAC) and Director (Global Communications & Engagement) to develop and execute the internal and external communication strategy for the RWSAC.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communication plan to promote the RWSAC as a leading hub for real-world data in the GBA and internationally.
  • Create compelling content for various channels, including websites, press releases, newsletters, and social media, to showcase the centre's capabilities and successes.
  • Manage branding, public affairs, and marketing activities, including conferences, workshops, and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Support the Talent Development objective by promoting workshops, certification programs, and training modules to target audiences.
  • Act as the point of contact for media inquiries and manage the centre's public image.
  • Develop internal communication protocols to ensure alignment across the RWSAC team and with GBAICTI.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above preferably in both Biological/Natural Sciences and Communications/ Public Relations/ Media Studies.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in corporate communications, event/project management or corporate administration, preferably in the medical and/or research sectors.
  • Proficiency in multimedia, graphic design and video-editing tools is an added advantage.
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-minded, able to handle multiple concurrent tasks, and self-motivated.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).


Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and/or an interview.


A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
