Part-time Research Assistant (RA I/II) in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.:534622), to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Social Sciences, or other related disciplines with one year of post-qualification experience. They should have high proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese), skills in analytical valuation and generation of practical solutions, and the ability to work independently and as a team player. Those with post qualification work experience in intervention or clinical research projects and knowledge of data analysis are highly preferred.
The appointees will support the Principal Investigators (PIs) in two research areas: (1) midlife transition (e.g., menopause), and (2) intergenerational relationships. Primary responsibilities include: recruiting participants within community settings, preparing study and intervention materials, coordinating data collection via telephone or online surveys, conducting qualitative research, and other research-related tasks as assigned. On-the-job training will be provided. Applicants with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered Research Assistant II.
A competitive hourly rate commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered with a mandatory 5% MPF contribution. The appointment is project-based; subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding, there may be opportunities for contract renewal or participation in future projects.
