Full-time/Part-time Research Assistant I/II in the Restorative Dental Sciences of the Faculty of Dentistry

Applications are invited for appointment as Full-time/Part-time Research Assistant I/II in the Restorative Dental Sciences of the Faculty of Dentistry (Ref: 534601), to commence as soon as possible on one-year temporary term contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Dentistry, Microbiology, Medicine, Health Sciences, or a related discipline, preferably with experience in microbiological study, including metagenomic sequencing methods.  He/she should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese), good interpersonal and communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation, and a hard-working attitude. 

Those with higher qualifications and/or more experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I.

The appointee will work collaboratively with a Prosthodontist in a clinical trial in aged care facilities.  He/she will be responsible for sample collection, laboratory tests, data management and analysis, management of the project, as well as other duties as assigned.  Fresh graduates with an interest in these fields are also welcome to apply.  Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Professor T.W.
