Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Surgery to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal, subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in science, biology, biomedical science or a related discipline with relevant work experience. They should demonstrate an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and be self-motivated and able to work independently in a research setting. They should have good laboratory techniques in molecular biology, animal handling and strong analytical skills. Prior experience in handling animal models and clinical specimens would be an advantage. The appointee will participate in neuro-oncology related research projects. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, handling and processing animal models or biospecimens, and performing other duties as assigned.
