Applications are invited for the appointment as Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II) at the School of Governance and Policy (Ref.: 534570) to commence as soon as possible, on two-year fixed term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
The Role
The appointee will mainly be responsible for the coordination and operation of the Master’s programme, Master of Governance and Policy, including course enrolment, timetabling, student affairs, and enquiries. He/She will also plan and organize programme activities, including admission interviews, publicity, seminars, orientation, and field trips, and will perform general office administrative duties as well as any other duties assigned by the School Secretary/Director. Occasional work outside normal office hours or on weekends may be required.
Qualifications and Qualities
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector. They should have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in common computer applications, and the ability to work independently and under pressure. They should be good team players, self-motivated, and possess a strong sense of responsibility.
