Senior Technical Officer in Imaging and Flow Cytometry Core of the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) (Ref.: 534488) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

The Role

  • Oversee the daily operation of the flow cytometry platform to ensure smooth operation and high-quality service
  • Provide technical consultation and guidance on experimental design and protocol optimization to research teams
  • Validating, developing, and optimizing protocols for new platforms, assays, and applications in immunology and related fields
  • Supervise and train junior staff in advanced cytometry techniques and best practices to support the professional growth of the team
  • Train users and offer technical support to facilitate research efforts
  • Organize technical seminars, workshops, and knowledge-sharing events

Qualifications and Qualities

  • Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences; a strong background in immunology is highly preferred
  • Hands-on experience in immunology and flow cytometry technologies; experience in a core facility setting is an advantage
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to continuous technical skill development
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and collaborative, with a strong inclination toward teamwork
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
