Clerk II/Clerical Assistant in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 534462) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A / Level 2 from 2007), OR min. Level 2 in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, with at least 5 years’ clerical experience.  They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; good communication and interpersonal skills; and proficiency in PC and various software applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing.  They should also be hard-working, self-motivated and meticulous.  Those with less experience and/or lower qualifications may be appointed as Clerical Assistant. 

The appointee will provide clerical support to the Department’s general office and undertake other duties as assigned.  Those who have responded to the previous advertisement (Ref.: 533943) need not re-apply.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.  The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.  Other benefits include annual leave, medical benefits and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries.
