Assistant Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 534445) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)  

 

LKS Faculty of Medicine (HKUMed) is looking for a motivated and proactive individual to join our dynamic Research Affairs Team.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the operations of research centres, including budgeting, events coordination, and promotion of the centre’s achievements and expertise;
  • Coordinating research postgraduate (thesis) examinations and student-related processes;
  • Supporting student engagement activities and Faculty-wide events;
  • Administering scholarships, prizes, and awards;
  • Providing committee support and assisting initiatives on research ethics and integrity;
  • Performing other duties as assigned to facilitate faculty-level initiatives.

Applicants should have:

  • A good university degree and at least 5 years’ relevant administrative experience in the higher education sector;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Sound organizational, problem-solving, and project management abilities;
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
  • A good level of IT literacy;
  • Experience in programme administration, event management, and committee support.

Prior experience in student engagement, recruitment and promotion, or research integrity initiatives will be a distinct advantage. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and written test.
