Administrative Assistant II in the Faculty of Law (Ref.: 534441) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal).

Applicants should have a good University degree with at least 5 years’ solid administrative work experience in a tertiary institution.  They should have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua), be an effective team leader and player who could motivate his/her subordinates to deliver quality work under tight deadlines, have a strong sense of responsibility and work ethics, as well as the ability to work independently and under pressure.  A solid understanding of the research responsibility of the higher education sector in research, experience in handling research assessment exercises and knowledge of data analysis via advanced excel skills will be an advantage.

The appointee will provide administrative and strategic support to the Faculty Office in the areas of research development of the Faculty, research postgraduate programmes, grants and awards applications and development, research ethics and integrity, knowledge exchange and engagement, talent development, oversee the operation of the research centres and provide secretarial support to relevant committees.  He/She will handle teaching and learning matters and programme quality assurance of the Faculty and perform any other duties as assigned.
