Senior Clerk in the Academic Liaison Office of the Registry (Ref.: 534440) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, and with the possibility of renewal)

The Role

The appointee will be responsible for the procurement and sourcing of gift premiums, preparing cost and sales analyses, monitoring supplier performance and product quality, supporting the enhancement of the Point-of-sale (POS) system for the HKU Visitor Centre and Campus Store, and performing other duties as assigned by the Director.

Qualifications and Qualities

  • Bachelor’s degree, with at least 5 years’ working experience in procurement and sourcing of gift premiums.  Experience in tertiary institutions is an advantage; 
  • Familiarity with Point-of-sale (POS) systems;
  • Experience with Oracle financial systems;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • IT proficiency (MS Excel and Word);
  • Good organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task; work effectively as part of a team; demonstrate attentiveness to details; and be self-motivated; and
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, meet tight deadlines and efficiently prioritise multiple tasks.
