The Greater Bay Area International Clinical Trial Institute (GBAICTI) is a wholly-owned entity of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, serving as a centralized clinical research facilitation platform with the mission of creating and sustaining a thriving clinical research ecosystem and driving development in Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area.
In November 2024, the University of Hong Kong Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine (HKUMed) was appointed as the operator of GBAICTI. In December 2025, the Real-World Study and Application Centre (RWSAC) was established under GBAICTI to open up local health and medical databases and promote collaboration between Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
We are now seeking a high-calibre professional to join the RWSAC (located at Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone) as Research Coordinator.
Main Responsibilities:
- Report to Director (RWSAC) and provide essential support for the management and execution of real-world studies.
- Coordinate the end-to-end logistics of RWD studies, including protocol development, ethics submissions, and contract execution.
- Coordinate with healthcare partners, data providers, and internal teams to ensure the smooth and compliant operation of research projects.
- Act as a key point of contact for hospital sites and internal data/analytics teams to facilitate data collection and resolve operational queries.
- Assist in project management activities, including tracking timelines, milestones, and deliverables for multiple concurrent studies.
- Support the feasibility assessment process by coordinating the review of RWD to estimate patient pool sizes and site capabilities.
- Prepare study documentation, progress reports, and materials for regulatory or stakeholder review.
- Ensure all research activities are conducted in accordance with Good Practice (GxP) guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Biological/Life Sciences, Business, or related disciplines.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in management and administration, preferably in governmental or public organizations.
- Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and good sensitivity to numbers.
- Able to handle multiple concurrent tasks.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- A good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese (proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage).

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
