Technical Manager I/II in the Project Division of the Estates Office (Ref.: 534173)
We are looking for a Technical Manager I/II in Site Safety to join the Estates Office.
The Role
The appointee will participate in campus expansion projects relating to quality and safety management. He/She will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring and supervision of site works and interface works, quality control, carrying out site inspections, overseeing on-site and off-site testing as directed, and monitoring site housekeeping and safety. He/She will liaise with project team, maintenance and operations team, safety office, external consultants and government authorities in relation to project quality and safety.
The appointee may be required to work shifts, overtime and on public holidays, subject to prior arrangement.

Qualifications and Qualities
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree or above in Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering or equivalent disciplines;
- At least 8 years’ post-qualification experience, of which at least 5 years must be in a supervisory/responsible position in project management, monitoring and site supervision;
- Solid site supervision experience in large-scale, institutional, DfMA or MiC projects would be an advantage;
- Good communication skills, self-motivation, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; and
- A valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card) issued in accordance with Chapter 59 of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance (i.e. by attending the relevant safety training courses which are recognized by the Commissioner for Labour) or equivalent is required.
Those with less experience or lower qualification may be considered for appointment as Technical Manager II.
What We offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
