Senior IT Technician/IT Technician (several posts) in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 534160) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.  They should have a keen interest in information technology and audio-visual fields, and excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.  Those with less experience and/or qualifications may be considered for appointment as IT Technician.  Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

The appointees will provide comprehensive IT and audio-visual support to the Department, including setup and troubleshooting for online meetings (e.g. Zoom, Teams); operation of audio-visual systems in classrooms and lecture theatres; maintenance and updates of website content; on-site technical support for courses, workshops, seminars/conferences, examinations and other departmental events; equipment procurement and inventory management; computer setup and configuration; end-user support; and photography and video shooting in clinical and non-clinical areas.  On-the-job training will be provided.  Working in evenings and/or on weekends may be required.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
