Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Nursing Officers, Registered Nurses (RNs) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs) with vital signs measurement, wound care, cast monitoring, and medication preparation under supervision, ensuring compliance with AOM and drug storage guidelines
  • Educate patients on basic orthopaedic home care (e.g., mobility aids), fall prevention and infection control practices (e.g. cleaning equipment, changing linen)
  • Provide administrative support (e.g. record-keeping,  managing supply stock for daily operation)
  • Collaborate with Nursing Officers, RNs, ENs, doctors and therapists, and contribute to quality audits under supervision
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Qualities

  • A Certificate of Enrolment (Part I) and a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong
  • Relevant clinic experiences, preferably in orthopaedics or other clinical settings
  • Basic knowledge of musculoskeletal care and patient safety
  • A valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is preferred
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including fluent Cantonese)
  • Strong sense of responsibility, with good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, and work independently and collaboratively within a team

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.  A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.  Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
