Administrative Assistant I (holding the functional title of Senior Manager (Teaching and Learning) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 534078) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of the basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree with at least 6–8 years of solid administrative experience at supervisory level in the tertiary education sector. They should be competent communicators with an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), coupled with strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. They should also be self-motivated, attentive to detail, and capable of multi-tasking and working independently under pressure to meet tight deadlines. A strong sense of responsibility, problem-solving ability, and proven leadership skills to motivate and lead a team are also required.
The appointee will provide a full spectrum of administrative, executive, and secretarial support to the Faculty. Key areas of responsibility include teaching and learning initiatives, curriculum development, admission outreach, academic programme administration, and student activities. He/She will also be responsible for quality assurance, curriculum assessment, and committee servicing, and will perform other duties as assigned. The appointee should also play a versatile role in leading junior executive and clerical staff, develop effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels, and be familiar with the University's procedures and policies.
