Officer/Executive Assistant, Career Development and Training (at the rank of Clerk I/II) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 533972) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree, with at least 2 years’ full-time work experience. High proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) is essential. They should have strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, project management, and problem-solving skills. The ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and pay attention to detail is crucial. Applicants should be self-motivated, reliable team players with a passion for working with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures. High-level computer literacy is required, including experience with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Power BI), Qualtrics forms, and data analysis tools. Applicants with less work experience may be considered for the position of Executive Assistant.
The appointee will be supporting the planning, implementation, and ongoing management of a comprehensive website and digital system designed for students, employers, career coaches, and the career center administration. The appointee will take the lead in coordinating system rollout, facilitating continual enhancements, and ensuring the platform provides effective features for job search, event management, stakeholder engagement, and data analytics. In addition to system-related responsibilities, the appointee will also coordinate and execute administrative and logistical tasks related to career development services, including collecting and analyzing data to evaluate the effectiveness of system initiatives, and prepare project documentation and reports for management and stakeholders. The role further involves liaising with students, employers, career coaches, and other stakeholders to support career-related events and encourage system adoption, as well as gathering user feedback to drive ongoing improvements. Other ad-hoc duties may be assigned as required by the supervisor.
This position is based at the Faculty’s Cyberport campus. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a written test and an interview.
