Executive Assistant, Communications and Public Relations (at the rank of Clerk II) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 533892) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
 
Applicants should possess a good bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, marketing, journalism, translation or related disciplines, with at least 1-2 years’ experience in communications, marketing, public relations and/ or events management. They should have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua. They should be good team players with excellent communication, organisational and presentation skills. Knowledge of multimedia, graphic design, video production and social media skills will definitely be an advantage.
 
The appointee will assist in event management and the implementation of other marketing activities. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
 
• Providing administrative and execution support to the team in planning, coordinating, and implementing communication and promotion initiatives such as events, digital marketing, branding & marketing projects;
• Organising seminars, conferences, events, and media interviews;
• Coordinating event logistics, including venue sourcing and booking, catering, audio visual and technical setup, guest registration, transportation, event materials, souvenirs, and run down preparation;
• Developing engaging content and assisting in managing social media platforms, including handling social media postings, monitoring, and responding to social media posts;
• Assisting with event branding and promotion, including preparation of event collaterals, and coordinating digital promotion for events;
• Closely liaising and coordinating with internal and external parties to ensure smooth operations and project management; and
• Assisting in general administration and undertaking ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor.
 
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
