We seek a Marketing Executive to support the Sales and Marketing Manager in strengthening HKUP’s local and international profile. If you have a passion for academic publishing and are eager to implement innovative marketing strategies to reach a worldwide audience, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive initiatives to enhance HKUP’s brand image, including campaigns for the 70th anniversary.
- Develop and execute publicity for 35–50 new titles annually in English and Chinese. Create engaging and compelling content to broaden the reach of each publication across various channels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with authors and industry stakeholders.
- Coordinate book reviews and media interviews; manage media contacts and review records.
- Organize HKUP’s participation in local and international book fairs.
- Support marketing projects and events, demonstrating versatility and teamwork.
- Assist with HKUP Bookshop operations (approx. 10 hours/week) and on/off-campus sales initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A recognized degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the publishing industry or relevant marketing fields.
- Strong creative mindset, passion for books, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive problem-solver.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign), as well as social media and website management.
- Experience in book sales, media relations, marketing copywriting, and creating promotional materials for academic and trade audiences is highly desirable.
Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as Clerk II.
