Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in the School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 533712) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

 

Applicants should possess a good university degree with at least 5 years’ work experience in the higher education sector or a related field at supervisory level. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills; the ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines; and an appropriate level of IT knowledge.  They should also be a good team player who can lead junior administrative staff in supporting a range of tasks.  Experience in engaging with students and delivering student-centered service will be a major asset.  Additional experience in marketing and event management will be highly desirable.

 

The appointee will be responsible for managing and supporting the Enrichment Year and Clinical Elective Exchange operations, experiential learning components of the MBBS programme. Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations, providing student advising and support services, and coordinating with academics as well as local and overseas partners, including institutions and non-governmental organisations. The appointee will also support the event planning and promotional activities to enhance programme visibility, and assist with liaison efforts to strengthen external partnerships and collaborations. Flexibility to undertake other duties and projects as assigned is essential. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and/or written test.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme.
