Research Assistant II in the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy (Ref.: 533648)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily experiments, including animal studies (e.g., mice maintenance), in vitro studies (e.g., primary cell culture), and biochemical experiments (e.g., western blotting, histological study, PCR, etc.)
  • Collect and analyse data
  • Prepare reports and manuscripts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree with at least 2 years of experience in biomedical research, preferably in medicine, biomedical science, pharmacology, or related disciplines
  • Experience in obesity-related metabolic study (e.g., MAFLD and adipose tissue biology) and bioinformatics is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently as well as in a team
  • Proficiency in using MS Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Graphpad Prism
  • A strong sense of responsibility
  • Good organizational skills
  • An excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English

 

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
