Technical Officer (holding the functional title of Student Project Development Officer) in the Faculty of Engineering (Ref.: 533375) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefit scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering-related discipline along with some relevant work experience. They should be proficient in AI application development (including but not limited to generative AI, machine learning, and computer vision) and can design and deploy the applications independently. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are required. Applicants should also have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Enthusiasm in working with undergraduate students, experience in developing and supervising undergraduate student projects, or experience in managing maker spaces will be an advantage.
The appointee will support the operations of the Tam Wing Fan Innovation Wing within the Faculty of Engineering. They will work closely with undergraduate students on project development, providing technical guidance in areas such as AI development, liaising with partner organizations, and undertaking other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of the Innovation Wing.
