Academic Programme Officer / Assistant Academic Programme Officer (at the rank of Clerk I / Clerk II) in the Department of Real Estate and Construction (Ref.: 533218) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
 
Applicants should possess a higher diploma or above, with at least 5 passes in HKCEE, including English (minimum grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, or a minimum Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSE Examination, including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics.  They should also have at least three years of solid, relevant administrative experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector.
 
The applicants should also have sound knowledge and experience in academic programme administration and external communication.  An excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese is essential, and fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage.  Strong organisational, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to work well in a team, multi-task efficiently, pay close attention to detail, and perform independently under pressure to meet tight deadlines.  Candidates with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Academic Programme Officer.  Immediate availability is preferred.
 
The appointee will be responsible for assisting in the management and administration of an undergraduate programme, providing comprehensive clerical support to staff members, supporting general office operations, contributing to ad-hoc departmental events, and performing other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his delegate.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
 
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
