Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in The James M. and Cathleen D. Stone Center on Socio-Economic Inequality in Asia (SCoSEIA) under the Faculty of Social Sciences and Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref: 532783) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).
Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree and ideally have at least 4-6 years of experience in project management, preferably in tertiary education institutions. They must be effective communicators with excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua). The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with keen attention to detail. Additionally, they should be capable of working independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks, and meeting tight deadlines. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in managing a research center or large-scale research projects with a similar scope.
The appointee will collaborate closely with the Co-Directors and management team to implement and oversee the operations of the newly established Center. They will serve as a versatile administrator, providing comprehensive support in areas such as human resources, financial management, committee secretarial duties, and general office administration. Additionally, the appointee will assist in organizing research and knowledge exchange events and activities for the Center, as well as liaise with and coordinate project collaborators and stakeholders.
