Executive Officer in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 532613)
We are looking for an Executive Officer to join the Faculty of Education to provide administrative support for programmes and consultancy/research projects.
The Role
The appointee will provide administrative support for programmes and consultancy/research projects commissioned by external agencies (e.g. Education Bureau, schools, and professional organisations). He/She will handle a wide range of responsibilities, including finance and human resources matters; publicity and event management; applications and enrolment, delivery and evaluation; public enquiries; website development and maintenance; secretarial support to committees, and other duties as assigned. The role may involve occasional travel to Mainland China.
Qualifications and Qualities
Applicants should possess a recognised degree with at least 5 years’ work experience, preferably in the government and/or tertiary institutions. Those with prior experience in programme/workshop administration, event management, or project management are highly preferred. They should have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese; proficiency in IT; experience in producing promotional/publicity materials; strong organisational, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills; the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team; the capability to multitask under pressure with attention to detail; and a strong initiative with a positive attitude. Familiarity with graphic/video design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) and Canva would be a definite advantage.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
