Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Resident Genetic Counsellor) in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 532593)(to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree / a Master’s degree in a biomedical or healthcare-related discipline, with at least 1 year’s post-qualification experience in medical genetics. Experience in clinical practice of genetic counselling would be an advantage. Applicants should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, strong leadership and management skills, and good coordination, communication and interpersonal skills. They should be responsible, mature, attentive to details, and able to work independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
The appointee will provide genetic counselling to patients in the Department, work on research projects in reproductive medicine, and perform other duties as assigned.
